Processing time as per immigration and AHC site is 3 months.
Still no response from last 5 mnths. CURRENT AVERAGE PROCESSING TIMES - Australian High Commission

I spoke to AHC helpline last month in december they said my decision will b finalise in jan 2015.

Again i called them on 8 jan 2015. They advised me that my case office will contact me in next week. And they provided me my CO id [email protected]
I sent some more evidence on this email. But I haven't get any reply frm my CO.

Again my wife called to AHC helpline on 16 jan 2015. The help desk advised that they spoke to CO and he advised that now he is working on our file and he may contact you any time. You must active on ur phone. But haven't receive any call, msg or email.

Again today on 27-jan 2015 my wife called to AHC. The help desk said there is no CO on ur file. Ur file still in queue. She said she send a email to department so they will process it quickly.

My wife is now 6.5 months pregnant. She is living in australia by self.she needs my support.

My wife lodged a complaint about AHC new delhi in immigration compliment and complaint center. We did right thing to lodged a complaint??

How can I provide a compliment or complaint?
To provide a compliment or complaint you can:
• telephone the Global Feedback Unit (toll-free within Australia) on 133 177 during business hours
• complete a feedback form online at Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection
• write to:
The Manager
Global Feedback Unit GPO Box 241 MELBOURNE VIC 3001 AUSTRALIA
• contact us directly at your nearest DIAC office.

All immigration site said 3 months for high risk country.
Even before they were said CO is processing our file and today they said there is no CO.

Please help me!!!
Thanks in advance
The timeline is only a guideline. They said they TRY to finalise application within the timeframe, it's never guaranteed.

I don't know if annoying them would grant you a visa. It's finalised when it is finalised.

DIBP processing times on their website are known for being out of date. Also they will process it when they process it. The last thing you want is to annoy the case officer and have it take longer to process.

I know someone who applied from a high risk country and I just checked my emails and her husband's visa took 4.5 months.

India website says they process 309/100 in 11 months (global standard is 12 months) and one forum member took 16 months. The processing terms is just a guide and you just have to be patient and it will be approved when they are ready.

Unfortunately pregnancy is not a reason for them to prioritise a case. However saying that I wouldn't imagine it would take till May to finalise.

Some embassies just make up something so that they get you off the phone. You aren't the first to be told wrong information about what is happening and won't be the last.

Hold in there, hopefully it should not be too much longer.

Yes but that was at a different time. Embassies can get busier which means processing times take longer or less busier which means you get it faster.

For example. The embassy we applied at for a PMV it took us 9.5 months and someone that applied 1 year later got theirs in 7.5 months because the embassy is not as busy as what it was a year ago.

So maybe India is alot more busier now.

Why were you rejected before?

I got my student visa cancel in nov 2012. So i went to MRT. I lost mrt and then i appealed in judicial rewiew. And i applied my file at sydney on shore. But they return my file as a invalid file. So we left australia in mid feb 2014 and I applied off shore..

In the decision they said this relationship is non genuine and made it only for applicant to return in australia.
I submitted everything with my application but they overlooked all evidence and refused my application.
We r in genuine relation since feb 2012. We have huge amount of evidences.

That could also be a reason for it taking awhile too. People that have had rejections seem to find that their next visa takes longer as the case officer is more thorough.
