how i see with the form 80, is just a background check and get to know you more in details really. If there is no criminal record or anything there's nothing to worry about. at the end of the day, its all about being yourself and provide as much detail as you can to assist the CO to make a decision on your application.

So to answer your question, i would say its not really a requirement, just additional step to safe guard yourself in-case the CO do decide to ask for one later down the track. i think some time we worry even tho we didn't get request for the Form 80 and we submit them, it could delay the process of grant since CO would need to go through them but in the end why would it matter if your not in a rush for a grant coz i know we aint lol as long the CO is happy with our us, we are happy really

Thanks crolladx! Yes, there's definitely no criminal records or anything. Sometimes I can't help but over think about this whole process. Yes, I agree. As long as the CO is happy, then we're happy. And at the end of the day, what matters is our relationship is genuine and that we love each other for real

Hi LadyMamba, i applied for the PMV last november, i was requested for 80 and additional documents. meanwhile i submitted Police clearence of my home country, of philipines, and also NBI clearence. Also if you have kids, even if they aren't migrating with you, they will be request to undergo medicals examinations. I hope this will help.

Hi T&M,

Thanks so much for your reply! Do you think they'll be asking me to provide the Form 80 even if neither of us have any children? What additional documents did they request from you?

They requested for form 80 and certificate of no marriage(CENOMA), just wait until your CO request for additional documents. I submitted my application without form 80, but my CO requested it. Good luck to us...

LadyMamba - whether or not the Form 80 is required depends on the applicant's nationality and the embassy they applied through. If you are Filipina and applying through Manila, have a look through the Philippines Spouse Visa thread (you can search for it - if you can't find it for some reason let me know and I'll track it down for you) and see if other applicants were required to provide it, or you can post on that thread and ask them if they were required to provide it.
