Income amount for AoS for parent visa

Hi,

Does anyone know how much income my Australian son will have to have to provide his two parents with an AoS? He is single, no dependants. I have looked at various sites but can't work out a figure. We are sorted regarding the lump sum into the bank, it is just the annual income requirement I am asking for help to define,

Many thanks in advance,
Ruth

Perhaps this might help.

https://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sheets/34aos.htm

This fact sheet mentions the overall policy responsibility for the AoS scheme, is based on the Social Security Act 1991

So then I found this:

9.4.3.60 AoS - Income Requirements & Family Circumstances of Potential Assurer | Guide to Social Security Law

I don't know anything about parent visas - I am just Googling.

Hi
Which visa do you intend to apply for, contributory, aged, etc.

The parent one (103) as we are planning for retirement in about 12 years time.

Ok Ruth
It would be hard to say what income would be needed in 12 years time :-)
That particular visa was revoked last year, but has been reinstated but who knows for how long?
Also they are stating a 30 year waiting list
Which is almost double the previous waiting time of 16 years.
Have you considered the contributory visa, costs about $100,000 , for 2 people, ( plus a bond of $14,000 which you get refunded of you don't use it) .
You still have to meet the balance of family test but the waiting time is currently only 2 years.
