Interview for partner visa too ?

Hey guys,

Just a quick question My gf is applying for a PMV. After getting married we will apply for the partner visa in Australia.

Question - Is an interview required for the temporary/permanent partner visa ?

Cheers

Hi augenblick,
I'd say depend on the case and countries you apply, some HR countries, interview is a must for partner visa processing. Also, if the CO feel the case is convinced enough, they will keep quiet for few months then let u know there is no interview.

Cheers

I was granted my visa after 4 months in Canada, with no communication or interview of any kind from my CO. Just a sudden email advising that visa is granted. I think if you do your application well enough, you may have the same experience.

My understanding of the interview though, is it's usually quite painless and informal.
