Allright, in the first place you quoted from partner booklet that's why I said.

Well, I didn't think you are criticizing me, I did what I did and it didn't have any problem.

I just really think it's not that necessery. I disagree with you too.

Yes, and then I went and looked further and saw that it wasn't the only place that information was mentioned.

But at the end of the day it's really not a huge deal. Like I said they arn't going to reject your visa based on you not signing a statement.

But if you have a choice, I would sign the statement. Took me 2 mins to do so it's not a huge deal whatever way you go.

I'm a bit curious. .
It seem like a lot has to be typed , printed out and then signed and scanned ...if one does the application online..
I did my application on paper so I missed out on all this...

Hm, not really. There's the form 80 (which isn't even officially required according to the document checklist), them Form888's and the statements I think?!
For the statement I only printed the last page and signed it and then scanned it.
So it really isn't that much printing and scanning I find
