I think you need both, but can be sent in after you lodge the application. We sent the police and medical check a week or 2 later. my partner had both his Swedish and Aussie police clearance done, and as Sarah said, the 1 without the fingerprints.

Congrats on being pregnant, hope it all works out

Mossyrocks is correct. In fact the applicant needs a police check for every country in which they have lived for 12 months or more in the last 10 years. If it has been almost 12 months you still get the police check.

Ok, spoke to immigration, who told me to call local police station, Local police station put me onto Stkilda road( Police Head Quarters) they put me through to finger printing, was told finger printing was done at local police stations but has now been allocated only to about 10 in the Victoria state, They told me to make appointment, BUT....they had none until December!!!!!, fully booked up because of changes...sooooo i explained my situation to a lovely police officer who found me a spot in Morwell, which is a 2 hour drive ( at this point i did not care! ) booked i for October the 7th, there is no fee for a FBI check here in Australia, but it finger prints have to be printed on their forms from the internet, We will be handed these fingerpriints where i then need to get an international money order, ( finally found out my bank does them for $10.00) and then i send them!, long long day on phone!!, thankyou soooo much for all the help, my mind isnt soooo confused now!
