Visa 309, can my wife go on holiday and get back in australia?

Hey guys,

My wife is on temp 309 visa and we are wanting to go back to vietnam for 2 week holiday so our son can meet their grand parents for a first time.

So how we go about doing, so she can get back into Australia?

Thanks.

travel as you wish and enjoy your holidays. Maybe it is a good idea to bring along the visa grant letter, if you don't have a visa label in your passport.

Check the VISA Grant letter she got when the temp 309 was approved and in the "Grant Details" section there should be a bit that says "Travel Facility." If next to this it says "Multiple," I believe that means Multiple Entries allowed, meaning, she can travel in and out of the country no problem.

Maybe someone more certain can chime in, but I believe that's correct.

The 309 has NO travel restrictions. She can travel in and out of Australia as often and as much as she wants on her 309 and will have no issue getting back in. There's nothing she needs to do it. As GBP said, always a good idea to keep a copy of the grant letter with you just in case. Have a great holiday!
