First email from IMMI!

To be exact, first non-automated email!

Received on Thursday, I'm not sure if I have a CO now? It doesn't specifically say.. The email was sent by 'Jennifer' (name changed), only first name, instead of initials, which is what I see people mention here..

Does this mean she's not my CO?

Anyway, she simply requested for more evidence which was the character requirement doc, I replied saying I have submitted the police check online and ask to confirm if it's there, if not, I'll submit it again. Unsure what to feel about getting that email. Happy or scared. So nerve wrecking!

It came in time because I have been in WA for the past week and was wondering how do I inform DIBP that I am here. So I got to add that in the reply email.

Now, question time!

I found out that my brother has been given a TR/PR visa by VIC gov recently. Do I need to inform IMMI about it? During the time of my application, I wrote that he was not holding any australian visa.

When we received an email telling us to give more evidence, they gave us a due date on the 25th of Feb. They received all of it on the 23rd of Feb, and my wife's visa was granted the very next day.

This email most likely means you're very close!!

As for your brother's visa, they have a "change of details/circumstances" form somewhere. You should write it down and upload the form.

Good luck!

Thank you! I really hope it will be soon! ahhhhhh so anxious.

I have written and having it scanned, will upload it by tonight or tomorrow.
I wrote in the form that 'My brother has received visa 190 by the state of victoria on x date month year.'

Is that correct?

If it's a PMV then why do IMMI need to know about your brother and his visa?

From memory there is a question that asks about the immigration status in Australia of your parents and siblings. He probably wasn't in Australia when when they lodged the PMV but now is.

Yup, what Mish said is right. In the form they ask about every family member and their immigration status. My brother wasn't holding a AUS visa then, but he has one now.

Not sure if I do need to inform them but I'm guessing I should? They did say to inform if any change in circumstances.

You certainly won't be doing any harm by informing them.
