CPA Australia and Certified Documents

Hey, I'm in the process of getting a migration assessment (subclass 189) and collecting the necessary documents for CPA Australia.

Firstly, I find it very strange that the Dept. of Immigration accepts scanned originals electronically and CPA Australia doesn't. Has anyone heard of another way other than physcially mailing certified true copies?

Secondly, I've seen the list of who can certify a copy, but is a retiree qualified? How can the Dept. of Immigration verify whether the person certifying the copies truly is real?

Any feedback on the process or other miscellaneous tips are highly welcome and appreciated.

Thanks

CPA Australia only accept certified copies of original documents.

The list of people who can certify documents is for people in Australia. If you are in Egypt then you would either get them certified at the Australian Embassy or by people who are authorized to certify documents in your home country.

The Immigration Department has some of the best forensic document people in the world. It would be very unwise to submit a false document or falsely certified document as it could lead to a visa grant bar of up to 10 years.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate it.
The CPA Australia site states that any official who has the capacity to certify documents is accepted, so the Embassy is not my only option.

It's good to know, that way people with real qualifications and credentials don't get victimized by those forgers.
