Question I have a criminal record for burglary 10 years ago.

Hi I am planning to move to australia next year in Jan but I have a criminal record. It was one night of drunken stupid and I was wondering if anyone knew, or knows of anyone in the same situation as me.
I have a job offer in Mount Isa and will have work as sooon as I land but I know of so many guys who have records get refused. Although the only difference was that I didnt serve any time in jail, just community hours served which are obviously finished.

Usually it's only if you've spent 12 months or more in prison that they won't let you enter/grant you a special visa for NZ citizens...so I'm guessing you'll be fine.

Just make sure you declare it at immigration. Being such a long time ago you should be fine but If you lie and they find out there will be no mercy.
