Could my traffic offense affect citizenship application?

I had a traffic offence by performing a U turn across a doubled line and got a ticket for that. I stupidly chose to go to court as I was hoping to get mitigation as the fine was too much. Recently I delivered my citizenship application and there has been a question in the application that have I been found guilty for any traffic offence, I answered yes to this one because of the case above. I know I should have paid the fine straightforward to avoid further troubles however I didn't. So I am wondering would my court experience be a reason to be refused for the application?

I am in a similar situation to you have one traffic offence conviction for driving under a suspended license (no other convictions). I am worried about my application but it sounds like it might be okay. Did you end up being approved for your citizenship application??
