Automatic cancellation of visa and 189 Visa in process?

I called 189 visa processing team and asked that i am offshore and i intend to cancel my 485 visa ,will it affect my 189 visa application? The reply was no.
Then i asked "what i cancel health insurance, visa will be automatically cancelled. Will that affect my 189 visa application".The answer was again no.

Can anyone please clarify on this? Does that mean even if my 485 is automcatially cancelled, it won't affect my ongoing visa application for 189?On the website, it warns it can result in "consquences for other future visa application".

There is no reason why cancelling your 485 visa application will affect your 189 application. However, if you applied for your 189 in Australia and you have a bridging visa that is still in effect, it will be cancelled as well as the 485.

The department did get reply from sa.temporary email address. The immigration said they forwarded it to cancellation team but they may/may not cancel the visa and as long as visa is in effect i can still come back to Australia on 489 visa.I told them that i don't have money to pay health insurance so i will be voilating condition "health insurance" but apparently even without the health insurance they might not cancel it. I don't know how that works but thats what i understood from the email.
