Tourist Visa 600 - Subsequent Charge as student?

I am a student in Australia with a temporary visa (class 545) until July(started in feb). I want to extend my stay and travel.

Basically i have 2 options. I fly to NZ and pay 20 bucks a travel agency for Class 601.

Or i do it from here for class 600. But what i do not understand is if i have to pay the subsequent charge of 700 AUD.

Question 3 asks: 3 Did you apply for a visa specified in ‘Table 2’ when you were in Australia?

Does it mean that if i were in Australia when i applied for my student visa? ( i applied from Germany)

The answer would be no, so i do not have to pay it?

You shouldn't even get as far as question 3. Question 2 asks if you hold a visa in table 2 - 545 visa isn't listed in table 2 so the answer is No, which means the subsequent charge is nil.

Only if you applied for a visa specified in Table 2 when you were in Australia.

If you applied for your current visa offshore, the subsequent temporary application charge does not apply.
