U.S. MBA Wanting to Migrate to Australia

Hello,

I am a 32 year old Frenchman. My undergraduate degree is in Engineering and is from France. My postgraduate degree is from the U.S. as is an MBA. I don't have much experience in the engineering field and have always worked in business. I currently work in market research and strategy consulting in California and have held this job for 5 years. In this job, I have worked in Singapore, India and South Africa on short projects.

I am looking to immigrate to Australia and probably settle down in Sydney. I understand that Australia's skill shortage list doesn't include business consultants or market researchers.

Is there a way I can get the PR? I can't take the student route anymore, i.e. come to Australia on a student visa, study and qualify for a PR. I have good experience and would like to start working right away.

I am an adventurous person and love living in different countries. My international experience has pushed me to seek new places and new adventures and that's why I want to move to Australia from California.

Thank you for guiding me!

Lekkerbek

Have you browsed the skilled independent route?
Also, this SOL - Skilled Occupation List (https://www.immi.gov.au/Work/Pages/s...lists/sol.aspx) might help you in your research to find best suited route.

Bon chance mon pote!

You will find if your experience or your qualification compliments a position you may be applying for here then you may have a good chance of gaining employment here.

However this would need to be explained to a government case manager and how you are the perfect fit for the role and not some other Australian.

If the company you are currently working for is large in size and is based in Australia, ask for a transfer. Their HR will then look after it,

Your occupation is on the CSOL, not the SOL, which means you would have to be sponsored or nominated.

May I suggest that you consult a registered migration agent for advice about developing a visa strategy?

That I agree with. Was trying to find the same list.

On the giving advice part am just trying to help. I meant to no harm.
