820visa medicals before submit application?

Hi everyone, i was just wondering- does my husband need to take the medical checkups and get the hap ID before we lodge our online application (or can we lodge it without the medical checkups and wait till they request it)

and does anyone know how long it takes for a case officer to get around to contacting us to request it?

background info- He has a minor medical condition (doesnt have a thyroid so he is on medications)

thanks!

Medicals and Police Clearances are valid for 12 months. Processing time for 820 is 12 - 15 months. Suggest you wait at least 6 months after lodging to do either medicals or get police clearances.

Thyroid issues are not a problem. Medication is not expensive. My wife has had similar for last 30 plus years. So don't worry about that.

You can get you HAP in your immiaccount before lodging if you want to.

I submitted my application in dec, I have not sent in my medicals or background check. I am going to wait 7/8 months or sooner if they ask.
