Talking [Partner 801] We did it... thanks to this amazing forum.

Hi all,

I don't know how many people are still around that remember me from when I first started coming here many years ago... but we just got our 801 granted.

I was at my new job when my fiance called me, crying, that we had gotten a letter to acknowledge the visa grant in the mail.

The road was very long, very bumpy, very expensive, very difficult... and we were both scared and helped by others many times along the way.

Without all the resources on this forum - we would have never even known how to apply. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and please keep doing it.

And by 'scared' I mean - we were told many times that our case was hopeless (mostly by agents trying to get hired) and that we had to hire an agent to even maybe have a chance.

We did this ourselves and we did not by any means take any shortcuts or have excessive resources. The entire time we have lived with my inlaws (so no rent/mortgage or bills in both names) and my fiance (who is my sponsor, obviously) is still unemployed just like when we first applied. IT IS POSSIBLE!

We used this forum as inspiration and gathered all evidence we had of our relationship being real and it was enough... and now nothing can stop us! We finally have a place where we can start a life together without worrying about being split up!

LOVE WINS thank you all!!!

xxx
Nelly

Hi Panda - thank you!

All paper everything - I personally find it easier to get an idea of completeness and overview with paper, so I opted to stick with that method.

No interviews and no house visits!

Nelly this is such a great post to read. I am so stressed about this process and just reading and hearing the joy and serenity in your words gives me a little less stress in the situation knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I wish you and your family a wonderful future and all the very best! Congratulations xxx
