waiting for a case officer

Hi guys.

I am from the UK and my partner is Australian. We have been together for 2.5 years and applied for the Partner visa on 26 April 2015. I am so impatient in waiting for a case officer so i thought i'd start a thread to see how long it takes everyone who has applied for their visa in 2015. There are many older posts dating back to 2012-2014 but no current ones.

Have any of you that applied in 2015 received a case officer yet?

Rach

It is so frustrating. I know it can take months to hear anything but i wish they would hurry up lol

I have a friend here who is from Malaysia. Her and her Partner applied the week before me and they have a case officer and are just waiting for police checks to come back. Their case officer called both of them on the same day and asked questions like what they were wearing when they left for work and what they had for breakfast! I can't believe they are so far a head of us!! They applied on April 17th 2015.

Did you use a lawyer? They did and that's the only rereasreason i can think of as to why they have had a very quick response. We applied by ourselves online.

I applied back in July 2014 and only received a case officer 2 weeks ago asking for health check up and form 80. Usually takes about 9-10 months before you hear back from a case officer but some people are lucky and hear back earlier

what embassy or office did you apply to ?
i applied feb 1 2015 and i got my co on 23rd Feb, london embassy.

if you're impatient now, then you have a long road ahead of you. best way to deal with a visa, is put it out of your mind completely. it will happen, it will be processed. keep watching that kettle , wont make it boil any faster

I know how you feel! I just posted this exact thread topic but for the Washington DC embassy xD My partner and I applied for a perspective marriage visa in April and have not gotten a reply or a case officer. My partner and I are so impatient! They should at least give us a monthly update or something lol I hope it works out for you soon!
