my Partner (Temporary) (Class UK) Partner (subclass 820) visa was granted on the 17th of January 2012.
My question/s are
(1) what evidence will they need for the 2nd part of the spouse visa
(2) what entitlement do i have with this visa i can find work and fly out of Australia what other entitlements have i.

Many Thanks
Mrs Brown

The second stage requires similar evidence to the first stage just covering the time in between applications. So start keeping evidence now. Photos, invitations or cards still addresses to you etc. if you haven't done so already combine some accounts. Basically anything to prove you are still in an ongoing defacto/spouse relationship with your sponsor.

Your temp visa also entitles you to Medicare benefits. You need to apply for Medicare and you will receive a Medicare card that is valid for a shorter time than a normal one and Medicare told me it covers most things a normal Medicare care covers but I don't know the particulars yet as we haven't applied for a card yet.

You should have or will receive a letter or email from immigration with the grant information and what this visa entitles you to do.

Student visa's are still at international student level until PR and you are not entitled to government support until PR.

Hello,

I have just recieved my permanent residency last week, the processing was under 7 months. The papers that I have submitted for the 2nd stage processing are:

1. Stat dec (forms provided)
2. Copies of documentation to support changes since the lodgement of the application that may affect the assessment. Copy of marriage contract, Evidence of name change as I have changed my maiden name to married name. (Marriage Certificate & a new passport).
3.Form 80 (forms provided)
4. Original AFP clearance certificate

Extras that I have submitted are; statements of joint bank account, water bill, and internet bill.

Hello ricka,
Congrats, im going to apply temp. partner visa on March. May i ask when did you apply your temp. partner visa and how long did it takes before they grant it?

When they approved your temp. partner visa, they assess you again after 2 years for permanent partner visa?

Thanks

Hey, im just preparing all my paper work for the 820 Visa and im confused about form 40SP, just in relation to Part D in which it asks about details relating to "Name as shown in passport" and later asks for your passport number, i was under the impression a passport wasnt a requirement for the sponser?, and so what am i to do about the questions?, leave them blank or...? any information would be helpful thanks.

Hello Jager,
You need to answer that question. Its one way for them to know your identity. If you're a citizen or a permant resident, etc.

That may be a problem as im actually without a passport, and will be submitting my application by hand this Wednesday ( 25th ), i thought that a copy of my Birth Certificate would prove this?
