De facto visa??

Hi All,

My partner & I met in May 2011 while I was completing my regional work for my second year visa. When I finished at the end of July I moved to Sydney and we moved in together. We are looking to apply for the de facto visa at the end of July this year. Just have a couple of questions:

-On the Immi website it says that you may be able to count time together where you would have been living together if it were possible. This scenario relates to us as I would have moved down to Sydney if I did not have to finish my regional work. Can we count our time as being together from May in this instance?

-Also, when I moved down we moved in with a mate. We both have bank statements with the same address on, and we have a letter from the guy we lived with (who actually owned the house) saying we lived there. We dont have any bills or anything as they were obviously all in his name. Will the bank statements and letter be sufficient?

Thanks in advance for any advice
