Question for those of you who have moved down under

I know it's early for me to be thinking about moving because we haven't been approved but because there will be so much to do in such a small time, I want to be as prepared as possible.

When any of you shipped your stuff to Australia, how did you ship it? I've heard of shipping by sea and I'm all for that but I was wondering if any of you could suggest a good shipping company that ships by sea. I don't mind paying a little more if it means our stuff will be safe. We don't have too much but there will be things like computers and books.

Also, is there insurance you can buy for items you're shipping? Some of this stuff is irreplaceable.

Thanks in advance!

Did you end up finding a shipping company to use for your move? I am moving from Utah to Brisbane early next year, and would love any recommendations you would be willing to share?

Yes, we are settled in Brisbane. We used Atlas out of Seattle via a local company in Boise. If you like I can sen you the details...pretty easy and most ended here as packed...there are some things not worth bringing. If you let me know what you are planning on bringing I can let you know if it is wroth it or not.
