hi john,

something no one has mentioned yet. spousal visas (pm, defacto, married ) are taking at least 8 months in Vietnam.

I don't have experience with underage applications. but I have a feeling is better to wait until she is 18.

Thats what i am thinking too, if anyone else knows what to do, any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I agree to wait. This issue of underage bride is a big deal in the media right now, even to the extent that DIAC wrote a special report on it. It makes for interesting reading in terms of statistics ( I just goggled numbers of visas granted and it popped up)
I am thinking we may have to adjust our sons wedding plans ( family flying in and everything) because of that eight month timeframe but I am hoping for the best and making contingency plans for the worst.
