Help!!! Partner Visa 820 interview!

G'day,

My partner and I are having a face to face interview with our CO soon, CO already called me, the phone interview went for 15 minutes, and CO asked for more evidence showing that me and my partner have been living together, CO asked us to go in with documents ready.

The thing is, although we have been living together for the past 18 months, we only have our joint bank account statements showing both of our names together. Would this be a problem? Seeking advices! Help!!!

We're both students and renting a room in a shared house, all bills included, house owner already wrote a letter but CO seems to be suspicious?? What do we do now??

Did you include mail addressed to both of you at your address? Do your payslips show your address?

Try to give them as much stuff as you can that shows your name and address for both of you. It is better to include official documents like payslips, tax letters, letters from your school etc

Thanks for the reply, my partner didn't change his address to our current one. Because his parents house is like 10 minutes away from our shared house. He didn't see the point we only have some bank statements. CO said everything else is fine but just this address thing. It's such a ridiculous rule. Doesn't love mean anything in their eyes? What can we do now? We are both very worried ATM

Unfortunately DIAC don't know you personally so they can only go off what is on paper. Without proof of address I'm not sure what else you can do. Do you pay your landlord in cash or bank transfer? If bank transfer does the payments from your partners account show the landlords name?

We pay cash to the landlord. Joint bank account statements have both of our names and same address
