Hi all. Haven't posted in ages. But an update. We clicked go on the 100 application October 19. Our 2 years since the 309 visa application date was November 19 2015. We got our approval email last week for the 100. So that's 9 months. They didn't ask anything. The status went from "Nobody has been assigned to look at your application" to approved. No questions. Very happy and I hope others are granted soon. For timing backgrounds...my wife is Filipino, we applied in Cambodia for 309 on paper November 19 2013. The 100 was application online.

Based on what is posted in this thread, the next update you receive will be the visa grant. Somewhere from 8-12 months from applying. There seems to be no system at all.

We are all in the same boat, just waiting.

Hi Taytay,

You are right. And this is the reason being all cases are not the same. For example, some are straight forward in that they supply strong evidence, they submit all the required documentations upfront. While some do not do that, you will see someone being asked to provide the declaration of the sponsor. For the other reason is that, even if the case is simple and DIBP are satisfied with the facts, they don't grant straight, they wait for sometime trying to be fair to all. And also processing are done based on their eligibility date, and if you for example submit INCOMPLETE DOCS, then your file will be set aside, and another is picked up and processed. Also there might be so many other reasons not known to us. Just my own idea and observations through this forum.

Hi

New to the forum.

Applied for my wife's visa (subclass 100) on 30 Dec 2015 and no update since. Wondering if this is standard time frame. Their website says that the processing time for 'High Risk' countries is 8 months. My wife has Indian Passport. I understand this is an indicative time but all my friends and acquaintance have received theirs a while back even tho they applied in November and February.

I was getting frustrated and tensed, but seeing there are more people waiting makes me feel little bit ok but still we all should receive it soon
Hoping.

Update
Rang immigration and they basically said the same thing. You are under processing time for subclass 100 visa which is 8-10 months.
I checked the emails and realised that we haven't received any acknoldgement for subclass 100 visa. Is this normal?
When I log in to immi account, it says
"This application has been received by the department but has not been assigned for assessment. The department may contact the applicant once assessment of your application begins if further information is required."

@ Couscouz Haha I like your confidence. I'm a December applicant too, just around the corner we hope.

@aso from what is posted in this thread, most do not get acknowledgement and the first contact from immi is visa grant. Good luck!
