Hi Guys,

I am filing my 100 subclass online. I have provided all the information online. There is one particular step where we are supposed to provide the social context, nature of household, financials etc etc. I did this couple of years ago as well. Nothing much have changed in past 2 years as far as what can be described in those sections. We still have same set of friends, everyone knows we are married, we divide house hold work, still share same apartment lease, each other's beneficiaries in job benefits, Still in love , only thing what changed in past 2 years is our financial planning as we moved more toward investment, house planning, saving for retirements etc.

So my question here is, what to put in these essay type questions again? Copy paste?

Another question is about supporting documents, I cant find seems to find anything which says "Upload Documents" in the online application. I have filled all the details and its just showing me "Submit" option. Do I have to wait for the Officer to tell me what all documents to upload?

Hi Bamborabi,

It appears to be between 6-8 months. I lodged mine online June 17.

Hey All!

I just saw this thread I was wondering there wasn't a thread specifically for applicants of subclass 100 visa.
All my information is my signature down below. Our initial stage partner visa took almost 16 months. Hoping the second stage won't be taking as long and DIBP will communicate to the applicants which they clearly haven't been seeing all the posts.
Its been 2 months today since we submitted out stage 2 application and haven't heard a word from them about it.

I was getting paranoid so called DIBP last week and was quoted 6-8 months wait time. And also that they had received our application 2 days after we submitted it at the DIBP office in Brisbane.

Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for all who are waiting. Hoping the good news comes soon.
Please do keep us updated. Thanks!
Good Luck!!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Thanks Becky for the updates, My friends last year Sub100 was approved just after 1 week of submission. But this year it is taking longer than expected. I am hoping that mine will be done before Christmas, fingers crossed.

Just out of curiosity, as per your details above it took you more than a year to grant Sub 309. As I recall, mine one was done within 7 months without any interview.

Thanks

Hey ozozoye,

We had a rejected subclass 820/801 visa application on our immigration record from December 2012 which is why I'm guessing it took longer for us. However the reason why it was rejected because we were misguided by immigration as to how the whole process will be done and also because we didn't have the knowledge ourselves. Mix of everything leaded to our application to being rejected.

1 week to get the 100 granted , that must've been such a happy moment for your friend! Shows us how timelines can change in the matter of a year

Hope to get approved within the time frame I really don't want to wait for 12-15 months again. Even though we have our first application approved, life still feels so unpredictable and scary not knowing what the future holds. We have submitted a lot of evidence and paperwork supporting our application. Hope we get approved.
Good Luck to you and your partner!

Kind Regards,
Becky

That's an very unfortunate incident happened to you
My friend was very lucky to avoid the waiting game.
Don't worry, we are all sailing in the same boat. As long as the relationship is genuine, we will eventually get approved.
Keep us posted, if you hear anything.
Have a great weekend.

Regards,
Uv

I had sent a detailed email to the QLD processing centre enquiring about the status of my 100 visa. Instead of answering my questions they have sent an automated email message asking me to email them again !!

What is the current processing time for a Partner (Permanent) visa?
The Published Service Standard for permanent partner visas is six months from the date of eligibility.
Most applications are finalised well before this time but some may take longer depending on the complexity and other
factors. Currently applications are being allocated to case officers within two months of eligibility.
If you have not heard from the Permanent Partner Section within three months, please email XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
and the department will contact you to provide an update.

Has anyone contacted these folks recently via email/phone etc to enquire about the status of their 100 visa ? Please share your thoughts here.
