We thought the same but still the 2nd satge wait has got some pain as well. I was eligibile for the 100 visa in early July 2016. Sumbitted in May 2016. Still waiting almost 12 months no contact yet. Join us in the waiting pain.

There are definitely huge advantages to PR, but we are just happy to be together and to live our life. But I guess if we end up on 23 month end of the waiting period for the grant we will be pretty upset about it!!

Ofcourse. Living apart was a disaster. But now as we are living together, we can wait. But more than 12 months again it has its own disaster.

Applied for provisional visa 300

Hello All
I am new to this forum. I have applied for the provisional visa 309 and permanent visa 100 together in 15 June 2017 for my wife and kid U18. I am a PR holder (189) and staying out of Australia.

I have seen visa 300 processing time is 11 months for 75% application. Is it that long practically?

I have provided biometric inputs to the local visa office. Do I need to submit any more documents online or team will ask for the docs?

Thanks.

I hope it is a typo and you applied for a 309 for your wife and not a 300.

Processing times are also 90% within 15 months. There are some countries where people are waiting over 12 months.

Yes, most of us (on this forum) who applied in the U.S. are going on 11-12 month waits with no grants.

I think applicants with children receive priority processing. Your application may move a bit faster through the system. I have seen 8.5-9.5 month processing times when children are involved... Again, no promises. It is just what I have seen here on the forum.

Assessment in progress

We lodged our 2nd stage application only 1 week ago a couple of days after our eligibility date.

I logged into the immi account today to upload some documents and noticed that the application status has changed from "application received" to "Assessment in progress"

I assume this is just a normal thing and we will still have ages to wait?

Global processing timea for 100 is 75% within 15 months and 90% within 25 months.

Unfortunately DIBP does not do priority processing for the 100 visa since the 309 has travel and work rights.

Unfortunately all you can do is wait. EDT her husband has an eligibility date of early June 2016 (about the 4th from memory) and they are still waiting and have a child together too.
