Naturally she's now overjoyed but I don't think the stress they've put us is right, something about the system is awry. She still hasn't received an official letter so naturally Centrelink are still fobbing her off.
Our timeline is Married in Phillippines 29th May 2013, applied for 309 a week later, Visa granted March 2014, arrived Australia 28th March 2014, a happy time was then had for 104 weeks until our world collapsed with my pension as expected being cut to the married rate but her finding she continued to have no access to any assistance from Centrelink, from a friend we found she had to apply again for a 100 visa (Centrelink have always offered the absolute minimum of information to us), that application was received by Immigration on the 20th April 2016 and now appears although unconfirmed to be granted on the 13th July 2017.
I'm now naturally confident that Centrelink will place a further 13 week wait on any claim she makes despite her being 70 weeks past the point she should have thought herself permanent, so the volunteer work she already does will stay very much volunteer, I hope they surprise me.

Hi Wankel, if i was you i would give the Department of Immigration a call and demand a copy of that permanent visa grant, because no way medicare issues a green medicare card without being informed that your wife visa was granted, My wife eligibility date was 11th March 2016, we applied on 26th March 2016, we are still waiting and application shows as received , i guess that is a good way to know if a grant happened to wait for a medicare letter. But what i think that the Department of immigration e-mailing system has an issue.

Kind Regards,

That's great news. Please tell us more.
Did they contact you through the process ?
Did you have to give additional evidence?
Did you apply online or paper ?

Dear Ishamas,

Congratulations and thanks for breaking the visa 100 silence with a good news.

It took 16 months for your wife to be granted. Please what happened? Did her police certificate expired and did they ask fow a new one?

Any contact in between or only the grant?

Wish you a happy life without visa stress with your wife.

Hassan

Mish , it simply means that people like me will be waiting for a bit since our eligibility was not until June 5 , 2016

EDT,

I believe it is random and not based on eligibility date. I was reading one member who applied in July 2016 and eligibility was July granted earlier this week while people whose eligibility date was before that are still waiting including you.

It is random-based luck, I guess.

Hi, guys. I just got my 309 today through the high commission in London.
have a few questions towards the next step,
1. when my eligible date comes, do I apply 100 through the same immi account as 309 or do I create a new one?
2. if I still live outside of Australia when the date comes, will my application be reviewed by the london high commission or the one in Australia?
