Hi all,
My visa was granted today!!
Eligibility date was 13 May 2016, submitted a couple of days later, so just under 16-month wait.
I wasn't asked for additional info, though I had submitted a new APF check as mine was expired. There was no communication, just received the email.
All the best to everyone

Hi guys,

Just a quick question - does being overseas for a long time delay a permanent visa subclass 100 verdict? My wife went back for a couple of months due to family reasons, so technically she hasn't been in Australia for a full 2 years. However, it's already been past the date that we submitted our application.

Any ideas? And is there a contact number we can call to clarify the situation? Thanks in advance!

I'm sure your wife will be asked to comment on the 2 years .
Just start gathering your evidence for that comment .

I think there should be no issue with your scenario. As far as I understand, you only need to provide documentation if your partner has lived outside Australia for more than 90 days but as it stands there is no hard and fast rule for 309 visa holders.

Unfortunately, being a new member I cannot post hyperlinks at the moment due to limited access to my account otherwise I would have posted the link here for your reference. I will have to wait until I make 5 posts and then my account will be active. Hopefully, this will do the trick.

border.gov.au-Visas-supporting-Pages-309-Partner/visa-%28subclass/309%29.aspx

Replace "-" with "/" and "/" with "-". Then add www at the beginning. I hope this will help be bypass the URL restrictions and also grant me a full member access with posts now over 5.
