Hi Everyone,

We applied for my wife's partner visa on the 29th of June 2016 and her visa was granted in April 2017. From what I have read, her eligibility date to apply for a Permanent partner visa is 2 years from the date she made her 309 application. Is my understanding correct? Do we get an email from home affairs to submit documents or are we to submit documents once we near the eligibility date?

Kind Regards,

SM

The website answers that question for you: https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/...#tab-content-1

"Your permanent Partner visa cannot be granted until two years have passed from the day you applied for that visa. We will begin assessing your application after that date.

You will need to provide evidence to show that you and your sponsor continue to be in a spouse or de facto partner relationship since you were granted the temporary Partner visa. The evidence you provide must show that you continue to have a genuine and continuing relationship, live together or not live separately and apart on a permanent basis and have a mutual commitment to a shared life to the exclusion of all others.

You do not need to wait for us to contact you. You can provide your documents no earlier than one month before that date. Do not send your documents too early; we will not begin assessing your application until two years have passed from the day you lodged that application (note: check the Global Visa and Citizenship processing times to see how long it is likely to take to process your permanent Partner visa once you become eligible for grant)."

Hi, everybody
I submitted my 100 visa application in August 2017, and it has been “Application Assessment in Progress” since then. I don't check on status very often because I expect it’s gonna be a long wait...anyway this morning I logged in to immigration account and noticed status has been changed to “further assessment “. I am not sure this means good news or bad news? Does anybody have the same experience? I always believe no news is good news. But this change in wording really worries me. Appreciate if any one of you has seen this words before can tell me your story. Thank you very much.

It's a re-working of the "Assessment in Progress" status that occurred with the March 2nd wave of system updates. It essentially means that your application is in the second stage of processing, but the update happened automatically so whether your application really is in a final stage of assessment or if you were simply given that status because you're previous status was "Assessment in Progress" is another matter.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Based on the fact that the site format changed again a few days ago, it looks like immi are still working on things with their system.

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to figure out if there's something wrong with my online 100 application.

After my 100 visa submission, everything in my IMMI account has been unchanged until a few weeks(maybe) ago. This is what my IMMI account looks like now. My application summary shows Date submitted as 30/Jun/2017 which is correct. However, if I click "View details", it shows Application submitted on 30/Jun/2015 instead of 30/Jun/2017. I can't post images/screenshots on this forum at the moment.

My timelines are, 309 paper application made back in June 2015, nothing online. Applied for 100 visa online through IMMI account in June 2017. My questions are, is this some kind of technical issue? Should I be concerned about this error/mistake in my IMMI?

Appreciate your help

In reality you only do one application for both temporary and permanent stage so the date is when you did your initial one. It says the same on my account so nothing to worry about. They have just changed the outlook of the website.

Like Lena said, it's not a 309 app that anyone does but a combined 309/100 app. Hence why the immigration website says, "Your permanent Partner visa cannot be granted until two years have passed from the day you applied for that visa."

Hello Everyone,
I have been a quite follower of the group. I recently upload my police check certificate and got an email soon after saying that Visa subclass 100 is expected to be allocated shortly please check if you have uploaded all required documents.
Is this a normal procedure? And generally how long does it take from this email to actual case officer allocation?

My timeline:
309 Application: 12th May 2015
Received 309: 10th March 2016
100 Application: 9th May 2017

Exactly how many days or weeks did it take for your visa grant AFTER your supplied all the required documentation after the case officer's final contact?
