Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has recently been granted for 100 visa? My eligibility date was 09/09/2015 and i submitted my application on 09/10/2015. Almost 6 months from eligibility and still waiting. I called immi once they saod waot until 9 months to call back. Then the next time i called they said 12-15 months not even refer to my own application. This is so frustrating.

Should we create a new spreadsheet for people who are waiting for 100 visa like the 801 people do? I think it is a great idea.

Hi guys,

We're currently awaiting our offshore 309/100 visa.

Question though - we've been together 10 years at the end of the month and submitted what we believe is a comprehensive application.

I have read that because we have been together so long, it's possible for my OH to be granted a permanent visa straight away. However our Immi account has the message saying that he will be eligible for the permanent visa two years from the date of lodgement.

Anyone know how I can enquire about this or would like to share their experience?

Thanks!

Hey Kazazz,

You apply for both subclass 309 and 100 at the same time. By default I'm guessing the IMMI account shows your eligibility date as 2 years from the date of application.

The case officer will have a look at your application, if you have provided evidence for the whole time period of your and your partner's relationship and DIBP is satisfied with the documents supplied, high possibility is that you will get the subclass 100 approved straight away.

As per the partner migration booklet, if you have been together with your partner for 2 years or longer (with a child from your relationship) OR 3 years or longer (without a child) you are eligible for subclass 100 directly.
Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Kind Regards,
Becky

Thanks Becky, that offers some reassurance!

I guess just sit back, wait, hope and keep the fingers crossed like the rest of the process... Sigh!

So i called immi today as i had some queries. I spoke to a very nice lady and i asked her if there is any update regarding my applicationas it has been 6 months from my eligibility date. She did not look up my application but asked me what type of visa i was waiting for. I said it is 100 visa. She then told me it is 8 months service standards. I told her i heard over somewhere it said the processing time has increased to 12-15 months. She told me it is only for 801 visa. Nothing has been updated regarding processing time for 100 of as far as dhe is aware. So i feel a little bit more positive. Just want to share this info with everyone. Cheers

Depends what your definition of soon is? If a few months prepare for a longer wait. We have people waiting over 6 months for a 100 at the moment and they are still waiting.

DIBP have a backlog at the moment.

True DIBP has huge backlogs and took about 11 months for my first stage processing, which is so long than expected processing time. 'soon' what I meant here is "according to standard processing time". Maybe 4 to 6 months from eligible date i wish to hear atleast for my 2nd stage !!
