That's because only 15% take 19-25 months. 75% of applicants will be processed in under 19 months. An application processed in one day falls into that percentage.

So the majority of people will take anywhere from 1-19 months to be processed.

It says Further Assesment-This application is currently being assessed. The department may contact the applicant if further supporting documentation is required.

application 309- feb-14th 2016
Granted -309-nov-2016
applied -100- March 2018- was eligibile in feb 2018
Status-This application is currently being assessed. The department may contact the applicant if further supporting documentation is required.

Is that a Normal status message- does anyone else have same status..?

whats the status of all you people out thr?
Mine says Further Assessment too. It went pretty much straight to that status after submission! Was yours decision ready (police certs, Form 888 etc)?

Thank you!
If you think about that the timeline really doesnt indicate much at all! The range in the first 75% is too wide to assume how long it might be

Yep. But no way to tell based on others experience how long it'll be either.

Technically, with 10% taking longer than 25 months, they don't give you an actual cap to wait times or a real range, because there's no way to tell or control which percentage you'll fall into.

So if you think about it, there's no time frame at all. Everyone just needs to hope they'll be in the 75%.

That is true! However I read some of the posts and got an impression the department does not assess the applications in order of submission! That is really frustrating and makes it even more impossible to assume the waiting time.

I feel that the Immigration Department is assessing decision ready applications. That would be those with AFP National Police Check, Statutory Declaration from sponsor, sufficient evidence in Social, Financial, Nature of Commitment and Nature of Household and 2 Forms 888 etc.

Can you pls share your experience in the process with us? The time took till grant from application was so short like 5 months!!

Was your relationship long term? I am currently waiting for my 100 to be granted. The estimated processing time went down to 19 - 25 months the other day, but your did not take much at all! I would like to ask what your application was like if you dont mind?

Thanks!!
Yes PR is subclass 100. As i have mentioned earlier,

309 Application received by Australian High Commission, Sri Lanka on 18/03/2016.

Additional documents sent to The Australian High Commission, Sri Lanka on 26/04/2016.

309 visa granted on 24/11/2016.

Entered Australia on 17/12/2016.

Subclass 100 PR application eligibility date 18.01.2018 ( 2 Months before)

Subclass 100 PR eligibility date 18.03.2018

Subclass 100 PR Applied date 21.03.2018

Subclass 100 PR Granted date 28.08.2018

And yes our relationship started back in 2011. So approx 7 Years. It was pretty fast processing time for me on both 309 & 100. I had a lot of evidence i guess.

Wish you all the best !

Is my husband (sponsor) required to submit his Police Clearance too for subclass 100? By the way, the only applicant is me.

If he wasn't asked to provide one for the 309, he probably will for the 100.
