My suggestion is that try to get an agent who really specialised in handling the migration issue. Not that i'm not confident to the lawyers but somehow they're bloodsuckling on each time you meet them. (sorry lawyers...)
However, better ensure that they're charging you on lump sum which includes consultation, follow up, monitoring, checking and telephone fees whatever necessary.
Things i had here is they charge translation fees separately, but you can get your translation agent either from your local government translator (licensed).
I can meet them whenever i want and trust me, you won't have so much time keep meeting them as most of the time is wait.

please be aware that migration lawyers are not the same as migration agents..

migration lawyers have the ability to represent you in court (MRT) if anything happens..

jenholic,

Yes but when $hit happens. Migration agent has limit service. after all, i suggest that if you have money, don't want any hoo haa, then you can look forward for lawyers. If not, you pay peanuts and getting monkeys around. Oops.....

True.. Sometimes there are a good few gorillas amongst the monkeys.. meaning to say that there are good agents among the bad ones..
