Initial arrival means?

Hi everyone,

I got my visa granted and I am just a bit confused where the letter says "Initial arrival must be made by 26 October 2012".

Does that mean i can go to Australia anytime before that date? or I'll have to wait until that date?

lol so confusing.

You must enter Australia anytime before this date, otherwise your visa becomes invalid.
