Question Changes to Independent visa 175, should I wait to apply?

I wonder if anyone can help with my dilemma? I am due to hear back about a skills assessment on 25th June 2012 in preparation for an independent skills visa application (175). However, I know the visa process is changing on 1st July 2012. I am not sure whether to aim to get the forms in (online) before 1st July as I have all paperwork signed and certified and I can make a start on the online application 28days in advance. The other option is to wait a week and apply under the new Expression of Interest (EOI) SkillsSelect Visa which replaces the current 175 visa. I was looking at wait times for the current independent skilled visa (175) which is 18months. Under the new system it seems that things may move more quickly.

Does anyone have any advice they could offer???

What i know is that with the skillsellect system there will be more limitations and the pass mark points is not 100% confirmed to remain the same.
So if you have everything prepaired and ready for online visa lodgment and online fees payment, i advice to go for it and dont risk who knows.

My 175 visa was granted after 7 months only after online lodgment...so 18 months is just the maximum it can take...by the way i do believe it depend on how your documents are well prepaired somif you think they are ready, the process will be fast
