Sending off application..?

Hi everyone!

My partner Nick and I are in the process of sending off our onshore partner visa. We're hoping to get it sent by early July at the latest as his current visa (WHII) runs out on the 11th..!

Just had a quick question - our application isn't quite decision ready but we want to send it off as soon as possible to ensure Nick gets his bridging visa.
If we send off a few things to start with, do we have to wait for an email/some sort of contact from them before we can send the rest? I assume they give you some sort of reference or case number for your application, so I'd feel a bit worried about sending any more documents without that.

Any ideas? Thanks a lot

Also, regarding stat decs - do they prefer them to be typed or handwritten? Thanks.
