Personal opinion only...
It looks like you only became defacto in march/april 2012 and even then you were spending a lot of time apart.
But as i live in WA i dont know how much weight the registering of the relationship holds.

Hey Jazzyfizzle...

my partner and me only lived together for 5 months too...we don't have our 820 granted yet or any other response...I totally understand the money factor and that you guys don't want to get married "just because"...we had the same thoughts...

getting the work restriction waived was really easy though and I hear from other ppl getting it waived too...I don't think that should be a problem...and as soon as you get a job that helps your application too, because you show
your good character, that you're part of the society and really want to contribute to the relationship and community...

also get as much friends and family as possible to write stat decs for you guys! and ask people soon it takes them ages to write them and get it witnessed especially overseas as it's harder and expensive to get this things witnessed (they have to go to a "Notar" or "Anwalt")
