Hi All

I am hoping someone hasn't asked this question before. If so apologies, but I have looked at the threads and noone seems to have asked in the past.

I got married in 2014 in South Africa. I am an Australian citizen, my husband is not a citizen of Australia and is still residing in South Africa. We are still to lodge his visa. We had financial issues which have delayed his visa application.

I went overseas to be with him in September and returned to Australia a week ago. I found out I was pregnant yesterday. I was wondering if anyone knows what visa we could apply for my husband to be in Australia for the birth of our child? The partner visa may take too long and besides we are not yet financially ready to apply for the partner visa. After the birth of our child we plan on going to be in South Africa for a while.

Thanks all:)

A tourist visa would be the correct visa. Make sure the application is well prepared or get some professional advice to avoid refusal.

We have applied for the partner visa but on the long wait I (the Australian) one am having a baby in Jan, so we applied for the tourist visa 600 and explained the pregnancy, return to Montenegro, our visa status etc.

If you can prove his return; tickets, a job/letter from employer, lease, pets than all of this should be in your application.
Good luck!
