Visa 457/skilled worker visa

I am a 33 yr old single professional Canadian guy. I live and work in Calgary, Alberta. I am educated with a Social work degree and an Agricultural diploma and work as a health consultant in Primary Care with geriatric patients. I am wanting to fulfill a career aspiration of having global work experience. I prefer to live and work in Melbourne for a few years within healthcare or related SW field.

What is my best and fastest option? I know there have been changes to the skilled workers visa and from what I understand I would have to put in an EOI and that would not be looked at until Jan 2013 from what I have read. Also before I can even submit an EOI , I need to have the Australian Association of Social Workers approve my skilled assessment package, which will take 8-10 weeks after they receive it. If I could find an organization to sponsor me under a 457 visa that would likely be faster? I do not require assistance financially with relocation etc and I likely would never apply for citizenship, simply want 2-4 yrs work experiences globally.

If someone could please respond to me re: suggestions/advice on what I should do. Also advise if there are any loop holes or ways to fast track the process. I feel my best avenue is to try to find an employer willing to hire me and sponsor me on a 457 long stay work visa, but maybe that will be very difficult to do so??
