Moving to Australia in 4 months, my girlfriend is recently pregnant

Hi guys.
I am seriously thinking about moving to Australia to finish my studies and live a new experience with my girlfriend for a couple of years. We´ve already started to fill up all documents for applying both visas and it´s sounding good by the time . But we' ve found out that my girlfriend is pregnant surprisingly and this fact modify all our ideas. Is for that reasson i would like to know if she gives in birth in Australia what would it happen? Is the cost of giving a birth high or is covered by Medicare? And with my babe´s citizenship? would he/she become Australian or would he/she stay Spanish?
Thanks a lot for help

hi javier, what australian visa do you have? Medicare is only provided to permanent residents (or on bridging to PR) and citizens. Also if your child is born in Australia, he'll only become an Australian citizen when he reach 10 years old since citizenship by birth is only for those with a PR or a citizen parent
