You can look at the prospective marriage visa for your partner. Please have a thorough look around the site and find the booklet on there for this specific visa, to see what kind of proof of relationship you will need for this visa. I myself mainly read up about the de facto partner visa so I don't know exactly what the standards are for this particular partner visa, and whether your time together in China will supply you with enough evidence of relationship or not, so please always search info for yourself as well!

Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300)

Maybe others have more experience with this specific partner visa?
