American crafts man to move to Australia

Hello, I am Peter. I am currently looking to move to Australia to possibly work in the welding industry. Could any one point me in a direction to get started? Honestly I haven't had to ever look for a job. I posted my resume a few years back and I was picked up here in the states with in a few days.

I am a journeyman welder, I have a back ground in Pipeline (Oil/Gas) and Mining support (working on the haul truck wheel motors and other parts as a welder, with machining experience.

I don't mind the FIFO, but something to the local area I might move to would be nice as well. Any info would be great! Thank you for reading.
