Skilled Migrant Application with Australian Spouse - extra points?

Hi there,
So long story short, I was on here a few of years ago sponsoring my Bangladeshi husband and discussing our journey to PR with Spouse Visa.

We are now separated due to personal reasons and I have met a Pakistani student. Details are as follows:
He will be applying for Skilled Migrant visa as he has a Masters in Information Technology (USYD) and a Bachelor in Computer Science. He is now studying a Graduate Diploma.
He is over 25, his IELTS has not been done yet but I am sure he will get at least a 7 or 8.

We will be getting married next year and he will apply for the Visa next year. Will he get any extra points? I heard he can get extra points if his wife is coming from overseas and has a degree. Well, I have a Bachelors degree and doing my Grad Dip at the moment.

Does he get extra points?

It's hard because I cannot sponsor again until 30th June 2014.

Is there any way around the rules of sponsorship that I can't sponsor someone else for 5 years?

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
