Partner Visa 820/801 onshore

Hello guys i need some advise. My partner and i we leave together now for a year and i think to sponsor him under partner visa 820/801 as i am PR. My concern is that my current employer is my sponsor as well (i am under 857 visa) is very homophobic, and what if the DIAC call him and tell him about the visa application that i have been lodged??? I am bit afraid that if he axe me because he will do it for sure i will face problem with DIAC because i havent end the 2 year requirement employer with the same employer. Do you think to wait to finish 2 years employment (visa 857 conditions) and after to apply or to go forward? your advice.
