457 secondary Holder - transfer

I would be grateful if I could get some feedback on my enquiry.

I'm a primary 457 holder but i am planning to move back to my home country. Can my husband, who is the secondary holder continues working in Australia if he is able to find a new sponsor? Does he have to find one within 28 days from my last day at work? Many thanks!
