Need to cancel E600 ASAP

How do I cancel my Visitor Visa E600? my up to 12 month visa has not been granted in time I fly in 3 days ( now the weekend) I need to cancel it so I can apply for the short 3 month ETA visawhich is granted much quicker, I can not apply while I have an outstanding visa process currently being assessed.

UK citizen that filled out his original visa incorrectly made the amendment but still has not received it.
I was told to cancel my first visa then apply at a travel agents for this ETA visa.

🙁 i dont wish to cancel my flights as this will only give me anportion of the money back. But this might be the only option if i can kot figure out what to do. I see to cancel your visa you must donit in writing which means it will take several days to process the cancellation? If this ia the case i do not have emough time to cancel and then apply for the eta visa

When ringing, ask if you can cancel on the phone or any other way so you can get ETA immediately.

Can for small fee to airline not just change departure date? Think mine was $190 per ticket.

(I changed for max 12 month from today, then sorted visa and changed again to preferred date after via grant - was still cheaper as we had 6 tickets).
