Singapore Certificate of Clearance

Hello Everyone,

My husband needs to get Singaporean Certificate of Clearance from the Singapore police (he lived in Singapore for several years) for his partner visa (subclass 820). Has anyone of you ever applied for such document? Apparently he is supposed to receive an official request from Australian immigration to be able to proceed, but so far he hasn't received anything. Does anyone know the official procedure?

Thank you very much in advance for your replies!

He must ask Immigration for the request letter. Check the Singapore police website for detailed instructions how non- residents should apply for a police certificate.

Thank you very much for your very prompt reply Nick. My husband got in touch with Australian Immigration, but so far they have been very unhelpful. We still don't know what's the procedure to get the official request from Australian Immigration, and there is nothing on Singapore Police website nor on the Australian Immigration website indicating how to get it.

Have you ever requested such official request yourself? Do you by any chance know someone who would done and could give more detailed information on the process than Immigration?

Thank you very much in advance for your reply (once again)
