Visa extending

Hello. Would any one give me some advice about my status please. I have an 18 month temporary work visa (476) which will be expired on February 2013. I want to know if I can extend the duration of my visa for some time, letís say 6 months so that I may be able to find a job. Considering the fact that I do not have a job right now and my visa duration is less than 6 months from now, it is quite improbable that I can find a job. I would appreciate if anyone could let me know how I can extend the duration of my visa taking to account that I do not have enough points to be able to apply for PR at this time. THANKS.
