Uni student 801 visa refused

Hi I am uni student in final year doing my honours. Today my application for visa 801 was refused and received a form 1026i (limitation on applications in Australia). I was originally on student visa but In uni I met my partner and applied temporary visa so my student visa was ceased. Now I need to apply for new student visa to finish my last year but I realize that I don't even have valid eCOE and because of limitation (1026i) I can't apply for onshore student visa either.

I was told by immi office today that I should apply offshore if I want to continue to study but its almost middle of Feb and I don't think I can make safely return by semester time since I need to apply for eCOE first which could take at least 1 week. I don't have realy good grade, I didnt do well in my 1st year so this was reason I failed to finish uni sooner.

I want to apply for new student visa and finish my study thats all I want right now. and I heard ppl saying extending student visa/ renewing student visa can be really tough so i am really scared.. 801 refused and if student visa also get refused then whats my option to complete my study? I just have to do one more year..

Why not appeal the 801 to AAT? You will then get a BVA while waiting for AAT and be able to continue your study.

What were the reasons for rejection?

Most people will appeal instead of applying for a different visa, what are your reasons for not appealing?

because of application fee and time I have to wait. I gave everything for my 2nd visa and its refused.. and I dont really want to stay back in Aus after graduation.. I will appeal if its only option though

my visa was refused because CO didnt believe that our relationship is genuine.. me and my partner thought this so light.. and it was really frustrating doing all the paper works and pictures.. respect everyone in this forum really..

Offshore student visas from what I have seen are taking 3 months or more.

I think the chances of getting a student visa are slim after having your 801 refused.
