Kazazz,

For your info I lodged my application online on the 7th October, 2015. I received an email on the 13th January stating that I had been appointed a case officer. I'm just now waiting for the go ahead to get my police check and medical completed.
From what I can see, some people have been getting their visa granted in about 8 - 9 months from London.

We lodged our application on 1st October. We have had no emails, no updates on the Immi Account, no further correspondence on the Immi Account. All it says is, "Application received" and we also paid in full.
The only reason we saw my partner could go for his medical was because I check the Immi every day and that was the only updated part indicating a medical was required.
Since then, medical clearance was given six weeks ago.
I've been in touch with London about the progress and they can't tell me anything other than it is in the process.
Is this normal to have absolutely no emails? I have seen others saying that they have received correspondence that a case officer has been assigned and we have had nothing. Needless to say I am concerned....
Also, may you please point me in the direction of the London thread so I can skim through that as well please?
Arming myself with knowledge and all....
Thanks in advance
Hi
Some people never hear at all from their CO until the visa is granted. If you have provided all the information they require there would be no reason for them to contact you.
It is usually only those who need to provide additional proof that are contacted.

Thanks JaxsB.

I wonder why we've had nothing from them? We've check all email folders (junk, trash etc) multiple times in case we've missed something. And I have just checked all through Immi and nothing - no updates whatsoever.....

Has anyone else had de nada from London? Any advice?

Thanks Steve,
I am hoping that is the case. I mean everything else we have read what to expect has not happened, so why should this! We were told we would be informed when we have a case officer assigned, when the medical is required and the status on Immi would be updated regularly etc. But we have had zero, zilch contact from them and it is only by checking every part of the immi account that we found out the medical could be undertaken.....
Obviously I don't want to do anything to delay the processing of the application and really don't fancy getting up in the middle of the night to make another phone call to London to check on things (I understand this might result in delaying things as well - if everyone were to call to check on the progress = delays for everyone)?
I'm just so frustrated by the whole scenario.
Who would have thought that the information published on the border.gov.au website would be so misleading?

Yes it's very confusing to say the least. I heard nothing at all for 3 months but now they have got in touch with a couple of questions, things seem to be moving along. It does seem to be true that no news does not mean they are not working on your case papers.
