subclass 300 statement documents

I'm currently getting everything ready to submit a visa for the Prospect Marriage Visa with my partner who lives in Australia. We are looking to do it ourselves and not go through an agent so when it comes to submitting the statement of history and other statement documents, if we're doing an online submission do the documents need to be written and certified, or can they just be typed up and submitted as a word document?

Thanks

They should be typed up but still need to be printed and witnessed by someone who is on the approved list of people. Here's a template that should help. Note only Australian citizens can use this form.

https://www.ag.gov.au/Publications/D...rationform.doc

For things that aren't statements like copies of passports or other bits and pieces, as long as you scan them in colour they can be directly uploaded and do not need to be certified. The form 888's from friends/family do need to be printed and certified.

Thank you. If I'm from the UK which form would be best to use for my 2 statements from family and friends for the 300 visa?

If you are in the UK your friends/family don't need to use a specific form, they can just write a statement/letter and have it certified there by someone who is able to do so

Look at the list of approved people on the 2nd page of that Stat dec link I posted above and then just try to find the equivalent of that in the UK, eg a pharmacist, doctor or bobby should do the trick.

The form 888 is only for Australian citizens, so you would get your partner here in Australia to have a minimum of 2 of those filled out by people who are aussies and can testify that your relationship is genuine etc.
