Briging B needed for this case?

Hi everyone, my partner is currently on a student visa which will expire at end of April. We are about to lodge our onshore partner visa. My partner is also planning to travel Europe then visit home and possibly getting both side of our family to meet. Would she need to apply for a bridging B visa straight after we lodge our partner visa? We are hopefully it can be granted for a minimum of 2 months.

Thanks in advance for your help.
